It is an important festival of the state and is also known as the ‘Ashokastami Fair’ which is held every year in April at Unnakotitirtha of Kailashahar sub division. The Gods And Goddesses engraved on the hilly rocks are worshipped.
Deepawali
It is celebrated three weeks after Durga Puja. A big fair is held near Matabari in the temple of Tripura Sundari at Udaipur. It is considered as one of the 51 peethas.
Durga Puja
The most important festival of the Bengalis, celebrated through out the state, in the month of October or November.
Garia Puja
Performed by the Hindu tribals of Tripura in the month of April to propitiate the blessings of the deity. The festival lasts for seven days.
Ker Puja
Puja is performed for the welfare of the state and its people. It celebrated 15 days after Kharchi Puja.
Kharchi Puja
Falling in the month of July, this festival is popularly known as Kharchi Puja. It is celebrated at Chaturdasa Devta temple to worship the 14 gods popularly known as Kharchi. A large number of pilgrims gather there to pay homage.
Orange and tourism Festival
Orange and tourism festival is held annually at Jampui during the month of November.
Paus Sankranti Mela
Held on the occasion of Uttarayan Sankranti (14th January) at Thirthamukh, this festival attracts devotees from all over India. A holy dip is taken in the river Gomati
