Amongmong
The Sangtams celebrate Amongmong in the first week of September when the new crop is ready for harvesting. The main feature of the festival is worshipping of the God of the house and the three cooking stones in the fireplace.
Aoling Monyu
Stretching over six days, the Aoling Monyu festival provides an  excellent insight into the rich cultural heritage of the Konyaks. With the completion of the sowing season by March end, the festival marks the end of winter and heralds  the New Year.
Hega
For the Zeliang tribe, Hega is the most important festival. Falling in the month of February, usually the 10th and 11th, this festival is all about invoking the almighty to shower his blessings on the people to bring them prosperity, luck and courage. It also is a festival of joy, rest and togetherness.
Hornbill Festival
It showcases festivals celebrated by all the tribes to revive, protect  and sustain the vast culture of the Nagas.  It is celebrated for 7 days from  Dec 1st.
Metemneo
The Yimchungers celebrate the Metemneo festival after the millet crop is harvested. The festival is also connected to praying for the souls of the departed. Young girls and boys get engaged during this festival which is celebrated over five days. With its strong agricultural belief, it's not  surprising that agricultural implements are also worshipped.
Minkuut
Minkuut is the harvest festival of the Kukis. Kukis of Nagaland celebrate this festival on the 17th Kuki month of Tolbol (January) every year. The celebration lasts for one week.
Moatsu
The Aos observe Moatsu after the sowing is over. Stretching  over a period of six days, the festival is marked by vigorous merry- making post the hard labour of jhum farming. It is  held in the village of Chuchuyimlang.
Monyu - Phom
Monyu, the most popular and biggest festival of the Phom tribe is celebrated soon after the sowing season to herald the New Year. The festival is celebrated for six days beginning from 1st April each year. It also marks the end of winter and the beginning of the summer and monsoon season.
The festival begins officially by beating log drums with a distinct tune. This is called "LAN NYANGSHEM".
Naknyulum
The strong, hardy and handsome Chang Nagas celebrate Naknyulum during the first week of July for a period of six days. No marriage ceremonies are performed during the festival. The Changs decorate their houses with a special kind of tree, the Ngunam.
Ngada
Ngada is an annual celebration of the Rengma Nagas observed towards the end of November/December. It is   a popular belief of the ancient Rengmas that the spirits of the dead visit their graves and the homes of their relatives once every year, particularly during this festival.
Sekrenyi
The Angami tribals celebrate Sekrenyi in the month of February It normally falls on the 25th day of the Angami month of kezei . The ten-day festival is also called Phousanyi by the Angamis.
Suhkruhnye
Suhkruhnye festival is the most important of all for the Chakesangs and  is celebrated on the 15th of January.It is  celebrated for 11 days. Part of the ritual involves sanctification of boys and girls through religious ceremonies.
Tokhu Emong
Tokhu Emong is celebrated by the Lothas only once the harvesting is over and their granaries are full.
Tsokum
The Tsokum, a festival of the Khiamnungans, is associated with harvesting which takes place in October.
Tuluni
Held in the month of July, Tuluni is the the most important festival of the Semas. Nobody is allowed inside the village on the first day of this five day festival. The fourth day is the day of  prayers and offerings to Litsaba - the deity of fruitfulness who gives life and protection to the crops.
Yemshe
October is the month of festivity which every Pochury eagerly awaits every year. Yemshe is the festival of welcoming the new harvest. All the Pochuries, young and old, rich and poor, celebrate the festival with great pomp and gaiety. Yemshe is celebrated on 5th October  every year.
