A spring festival and one of the most important festivals of the Mizos. The popular “Cheraw” or bamboo dance is performed during this time. The performers dance in joyous celebration of life in the spirit of bonhomie and courtship. It falls in the month of March.
Mim Kut and Pawl Kut
This festival is celebrated with full community participation after the completion of the harvest season and falls in the month of November / December.
Thalfavang Kut
This festival takes place during November, after preparations are over for the forthcoming harvest. The community spends time in retaining present bonds and renewing old relationships.
