A religious festival of the Khasis is a five-day festival held usually in the 1st. Week of November. It is celebrated to thank God for a good harvest and also for maintaining peace in the community.

Wangala Festival
The most important festival of the Garos, is celebrated usually in November, when different rituals are observed for 4 days and nights. The well-known Wangala dance is performed on this occasion.
